Privacy policy

M3Stack collects personal data only when you choose to send it to us through the enquiry form or by email. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to discuss the project you contacted us about. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except the service provider named below.

Who we are

M3Stack is a software engineering studio based in Delhi NCR, India, operating as an unincorporated group of engineers. You can reach us at team@m3stack.com for any question about this policy or about data we hold on you.

What we collect

Through the enquiry form on this site we collect the name and email address you provide, and optionally your company or organisation, your phone or WhatsApp number, the project type you select, and the message you write. All fields other than name and email are optional.

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and runs no third-party tracking scripts. The only value stored in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, which stays on your device and is never sent to us.

How your enquiry reaches us

The enquiry form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form-forwarding service. When you submit the form, the details you entered are transmitted to FormSubmit, which forwards them by email to team@m3stack.com. FormSubmit processes that data under its own privacy policy. If you would rather not use a third-party service, email us directly at team@m3stack.com instead.

Why we may process your data

We process enquiry data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about work. Where consent is the applicable basis, submitting the form is that consent, and you may withdraw it at any time by emailing us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep correspondence for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as we are required to for tax and contractual records.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Email team@m3stack.com and we will respond within 30 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, and you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.

Data we handle in client projects

Some systems we build for clients process personal or biometric data. In that work the client is the data fiduciary and decides what is collected and why; M3Stack acts as a data processor under the client's instructions and under the contract for that engagement. This policy covers only the data you send to M3Stack through this website. It does not cover data held in systems we have built for our clients — for those, contact the organisation operating the system.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
